Minmatar ships favour shields and projectile weaponry; they also hold the fastest ships in the game. Pretty much the diametric opposite of their arch-nemsis race, the Amarr, the Minmatar have their strongest ties with the Gallente Federation. As such, some of their ships have drone bays as well. The biggest bonus for the Minmatar ships […]

In the CCG you have a chance to play as a corp based on each of the races. Each race appears to have its own speciality when it comes to deck themes. Ships are pretty much interchangable with many ships having multiple allegiance types allowing them to fit into whatever race’s deck. THis works in […]

So how do I use Jump Clones….well first off you need a certain skill (yup, another one) called Infomorph Psychology. Each level will allow you to have an additional Jump Clone (so 1 at level 1, 2 at level 2). The next thing you need is a good standing with the owners of the station […]

Whats the main difference? Well damage type aside there are some subtle differences, also each race specialises in specific weapons. Amarr uses lasers most, Minmatar, projectiles, whilst Gallente and Caldari use Hybrids. THough any race can use any weapon if trained in it. The size of weapon also matters (yes boys check your guns caliber….) […]

Moon mining is a very complicated business, it’s also extremely expensive. To mine moons you need a POS (Player Owned Structure) in orbit around the moon. The POS is basically a Control Tower of Amaar/Caldari/Minmatar/Gallente design. The race type will determine what ice materials are used to keep the tower online and will give some […]

As with the damage types you will often find that your shields, armour and hull can have avried resistances to the different damage types. Well what is true for players is true for the NPCs and usually there is a ‘best’ type of damage to use on them. Again this varies by faction but by […]

It has been known in EVE Online to find players and NPC factions that are…. a little less friendly than you would like. Often these ships will be found roaming the Jump Gates and Asteroid Belts, camping ouytside the Stations and generally making a nuisance of themselves to all and sundry.
Well I’m going to briefly […]
