The Eve White Elephant
White Elephants are traditionally something that you don’t want - the term has been applied to gift exchanges - and I’m proposing we try something similar, for fun, this Holiday season.
How it works - comment or Evemail me (Meridian Harper) with something you don’t want to keep. The only rule I’ll place on this is that you CANNOT give us something that is illegal to transport. I’ll tell you where my Corp Office is, and then your name will go in a random draw for any prizes that are listed. We’ll list ALL prizes in public, and on the 22nd December I’ll post the random list and name of the person that has won that item. I’m going to put a couple of ‘extras’ in myself - some not so ‘white elephant’ so any left overs will be left in the Corp Hangar or auctioned off.
All in the spirit of fun, we ask that your donated item isn’t ammo or the newbie equiptment that you get - in other words, don’t donate something TRULY lame (and we withhold the right to combine lots of one thing, and add prizes in to even up numbers), but if you want to donate someting like an old, unused ship, or some cool stuff, we won’t stop you. The person that donates the ‘best’ item (based on comments on the blog and personal vote by myself and Anatole) also wins 500k ISK (cause no one claimed the forum prize this month).
You can also choose not to have your character name published in public - I’ll put ‘anon’ and evemail you when we’ve done the draw. You then collect, or scrap, your prize. Happy Holidays!
