EVE Missions - The Breakdown
In EVE as a pilot you will inevitably make your initial fortunes as a pilot with a mission, not only do these missions teach you the basics of mining, researching, manufacturing, trading, couriering, fighting and the capabilities of your vessel they also provide rewards. The rewards come in a variety that is just immense, you can get pure hard isk (cash), ammo, weapons, miscellaneous equiptment (like shield and armour repairers), ships, skills and even blueprints. In fact I always recommend that anyone new to the game (1st character) should probably be doing missions for the first month of play AT A MINIMUM. As a player resource for learning the EVE universe it is immeasurable.
So… how do the missions breakdown into their different types, well I will try to explain using the list below to break it up into rough approximations on what you can expect depending on the type of agent you are taking missions from. Again this list, which many players sport in their Bio’s and can be found in the official EVE forums somewhere was put together by numerous players, I am just re-iterating it here for you to read.
